Hors la rue is a non-profit organisation that supports at-risk minors in Paris and the surrounding area.  The main goal of Hors la rue is to facilitate the transition for these children into general well-being and the appropriate child protection services to meet their needs.

Hors la rue is a part of a regional plan for unaccompanied children called the Versini Plan, which includes two other non-profit organizations (Red Cross and France Terre d’asile) and is mandated to accompany at-risk children in their transition to state-run services and school enrolment in partnership with Paris region child protection services.

Partner 2- Service Droit des Jeunes - SDJ (Belgium)

The “Service Droit des Jeunes” is composed of a socio-legal counselling service, which directly counsels and helps the children to defend their rights. Within the SDJ, a specific project has as target the unaccompanied minors and the children with their family in illegal stay. This platform, called “Minors in exile” aims at the protection of the minors in exile, through different actions: researches, promotion of the rights of unaccompanied minors and minors in irregular situation. The Platform coordinates the actions of 30 NGO’s, institutions, reception centres, publishes legal guides for practitioners and recommendations for governmental bodies. The Platform is also the national contact- and focal point for the Separated Children in Europe Programme (SCEP) and is one of the partners of the DAPHNE study on Guardianship.

Partner 4- Associazione per gli Studi Giuridici sull'Immigrazione - ASGI (Italy)

ASGI is an Italian association of lawyers, university professors, legal personnel and jurists that share a specific professional interest in juridical issues linked to immigration and minorities. During the course of its twenty-year experience, the Association has directly promoted or participated in various qualified activities of study, research, training and information.

In 2005, ASGI became a member of the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, constituted in 2001. Since September 2005, ASGI has also become a member of the first section of the Register of agencies and organizations carrying out activities supporting immigrants in the Italian territory.

Partner 3- Fundación La Merced Migraciones (Spain)

“La Merced Migraciones” is a non-profit organization aiming to provide a comprehensive response to the exclusion and marginality experimented by unaccompanied asylum-seeking and migrant children. Different projects of residential care, educational, psychological and social support, legal guidance and social awareness campaigns are developed to achieve this aim.

La Merced Migraciones runs five reception centres for children in need in the Madrid region, particularly unaccompanied asylum seeking and migrant children. These centres have capacity for 45 children and youths.

La Merced Migraciones is part of several networks of institutions both in the Spanish and European context.

Partner 5- Fundatia PARADA (Rumania)

Fundatia PARADA has an extensive experience working with children living in the street, children with special needs and would-be migrant children in the Romanian context. Some of the services that PARADA provide to its beneficiaries are the “CARAVANA” project (street intervention and support during the night), a Day reception Centre, support to children and young people in need and reintegration into the family context for those living in the street, support for young people and families in difficult situations, professional training, etc.
