Migrinter is a research team specialized in the study of international migrations. Migrinter is located at the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme et de la Société (Faculty of Social Sciences), Poitiers, France.

Created in 1985 by Gildas Simon (who received a silver medal from the CNRS in 1996), MIGRINTER is at the forefront of research and training concerning international migration in both countries of destination and countries of origin. The main objective of MIGRINTER researchers is to gain further knowledge on international migration, its causes and consequences, using a multicisciplinary approach. This knowledge is shared, spread and published in order to make it available to the general public, thanks to the participation of a team of more than 50 statutory and associated members.

MIGRINTER develops different activities on the international migrations field, such as producing and teaching scientific knowledge (Master Migrations and Ethnic Relations), publishing and disseminating scientific information (REMI - Revue Européenne des Migrations Internationales and E-migrinter).
